My family, especially my nephew and niece, really loved it. With a fun theme and decent special diets options, T-Rex Cafe makes for a great family-friendly choice for a meal in Disney Springs. I would definitely get this sandwich again. I really loved the candied bacon, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The portion was huge (enough to feed a dinosaur!), and the flavors were excellent. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by this sandwich. I opted for coleslaw since we were dining at lunch, and I didn't want something super heavy.
But, there were a variety of sides I could get, like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and seasonal vegetables.

The sandwich was gluten free, and I could have made it dairy free by omitting the cheese.īecause there is no dedicated fryer, I couldn't have the fries. Served on a gluten free & dairy free bun, it came with marinated chicken breast, candied applewood smoked bacon, swiss cheese (which is lactose free), lettuce, tomato, and mayo. T-Rex will be directly in front of you.On this visit, I opted to get the Paleozoic Chicken Sandwich. If you’re coming from Saratoga Springs, having walked over from the marketplace entrance, make your way past World of Disney and the LEGO store. It will be on your right after you pass Paddlefish, a large riverboat restaurant. Once you disembark from your bus take a right and keep going right until you reach T-Rex. Take bus transportation to Disney Springs. I would strongly recommend it to any guests planning on spending some time at Disney Springs or guests staying at Saratoga Springs. The food was delicious and we had a great server. We spent time wandering around the restaurant while we waited for our food. I thought the theming was well done, with a lot of great details. I was very impressed with this restaurant. But if you have children 5 and up they’ll really enjoy it. So if you’re vacationing with toddlers and preschoolers I would recommend dining at the Rainforest Cafe over T-Rex.
And the dinosaurs that were around our table screeched loudly and looked a little menacing. We were seated near the open kitchen which had a lot of fire. The restaurant was darker than I had expected. I thought Lincoln, who was nearly three at the time, would really love it. T-Rex had been high on our priority list for restaurants for this trip. A lighter choice than I normally would have gone with.
TREX RESTAURANT FULL
I was so full I opted for the sorbet sample for my dessert. We were both extremely full and satisfied. Jeff had the Boneyard Buffet: Rotisserie Chicken and slow-roasted ribs with a side of fries and coleslaw. My plate had steak, a kabob with shrimp, peppers and zucchinni and a seafood dish, all with rice. I had the special, which was called the Triassic Trio. You’ll likely have luck in mid afternoon or late evening. Getting a walk up reservation for that exact moment is tough. If you’re there for the afternoon and want to eat there for supper, check as soon as you arrive at Disney Springs for a supper reservation and they may be able to squeeze you in. If you find yourself at Disney Springs, you can always see if they have any walk ups. When using MyDisneyExperience app to make a reservation for T-Rex you need to book at least one day in advanced. I would recommend getting reservations ahead of time for this restaurant. The menu from lunch to supper does not change. T-Rex serves lunch from 11am until 3:55pm and dinner from 4pm until 11:30pm. T-Rex restaurant is located in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs, close to the LEGO store and the World of Disney Store. Throughout your dining experience the dinosaurs will make noises, move their arms, bodies and heads.

Found at Disney Springs, T-Rex puts you back in time when dinosaurs roamed the planet. T-Rex restaurant is the perfect dining experience for the fellas in your party. With the numerous Princess dining experiences, Mickey Mouse and friends buffets, you may be wondering if there are any restaurants for those boys on your Disney vacation.
